«Bram Stoker’s Dracula» show

At Teatro Victoria, a new theatrical version of «Drácula» is being prepared, in which Bram Stoker's story gradually becomes not so much a story of vampires as an atmosphere of constant waiting and anguish.

The staging, created by director Sandra Serrano, transports audiences into the world of old mansions, dark corridors, letters arriving in the middle of the night and strange events that at first seem like coincidences. The stage space is conceived as a place where light seems constantly to give way to darkness and ordinary reality begins slowly to fade away.

Sofía Cocola, Antonio Niro, María Díaz, Pablo Remiseiro, Jesús Ortega and Guillermo Gil appear in the production. Instead of direct horror, the staging opts for tension, pauses and the sense of an inexplicable presence around the characters.

Special attention has been paid to the visual side. Daniel Cano's lighting, sound and set design create the feeling of a space in constant transformation: the rooms seem to narrow, the shadows become part of the action and the scenes gradually erase the boundary between dream and reality.
