The Rafael Casanova Monument holds a prominent place in Barcelona’s historical memory. Located on Ronda de Sant Pere, it commemorates the man who was the city’s chief councillor during the 1714 siege and became associated with the defence of Barcelona in the final episodes of the War of the Spanish Succession.
