Virtual-reality experience “Space Explorers: The ISS Experience”
There are places that very few people will ever reach. Space Explorers: The ISS Experience opens a door to one of them: the International Space Station. Without taking off from Barcelona, this virtual-reality experience allows visitors to leave the ground for a few minutes and discover what it is like to live in orbit, 400 kilometres from Earth.

Here, space is not observed from a screen: it is travelled through. Thanks to free-roam technology, visitors walk inside the ISS, explore its modules and share astronauts’ everyday life while contemplating the planet suspended beneath their feet. The feeling of weightlessness combines with real images captured during NASA missions, including the first spacewalk filmed in cinematic virtual reality.
For 40 minutes, science ceases to be an abstract concept and becomes an immersive experience. Every corner of the station reveals how people work, sleep, research and live in an environment where the rules of gravity disappear.
Installed at Eclipso Barcelona, this offering gives the public a perspective until now reserved for only a few hundred astronauts. A journey that needs no rockets to awaken the same feeling produced by looking at the planet from space for the first time.
