Guided tour of Casa Macaya

The itinerary takes in both the exterior and the building’s most emblematic spaces. From its two façades, full of sculptural details, to the elegant inner courtyard, the monumental staircase, the former coach houses and the main hall, each room reveals part of the house’s evolution and the different uses it has had over more than a century.

Beyond contemplating its architectural beauty, the visit offers an insight into the historical context in which the building was created and into Puig i Cadafalch’s vision, whose work combines ornamental richness, innovation and profound symbolism.

Visits take place on Fridays at 19:00. During the first half of each month they are held in Catalan and in the second half in Spanish, offering a unique opportunity to discover one of Barcelona’s great modernist treasures from a close and detailed perspective.
