«Born de Nit» Night Visits

On Thursdays, the itinerary Dark Chronicle. Conflict, Violence and Justice in 1700 explores the darkest episodes of Barcelona at the time. Through archaeological remains and a walk through the neighbourhood, the visit reconstructs stories of clashes, crimes, revenge and punishment to show how justice worked in a city full of activity.

On Fridays, Night of Archaeology invites you to become a researcher for a few hours. The experience combines a practical workshop, where microscopic remains similar to those found in excavations are analysed, with a guided tour of the old streets of El Born. Thanks to this evidence, the public can discover what its inhabitants ate, what the urban environment was like and what some of the most common illnesses were three hundred years ago.

Far from a conventional visit, Born de Nit turns heritage into a participatory experience that lets visitors travel through the past when the museum has already closed its doors to the rest of the city.
