Una madre de película turns an everyday situation into the starting point for an adventure as absurd as it is recognisable. Everything begins in the early hours, with an urgent message from Alejandro at his university in the United States: he needs a document kept in a closed drawer in his room, and his mother must find it immediately. The only condition seems simple: do not snoop.

But Eva María is not only a mother; she is also a film lover. And she knows perfectly well that interesting stories begin just when someone decides to open the wrong door. Or the wrong drawer. What seemed like a quick mission ends up becoming an unexpected journey through memories, questions and the disconcerting feeling of the empty nest.
Performed by Toni Acosta, the play uses humour and cinematic references to portray the contradictions, impulses and small excesses that accompany motherhood. Because there are decisions that seem impossible to avoid and curiosities that come with a date of birth.
In Spanish and lasting 80 minutes, Una madre de película turns an ordinary night into a comedy in which family life is experienced with the pace of a blockbuster premiere.
