Eixample Arts Festival “Tangent”

Driven by the network of civic centres in the Eixample, Tangent brings together a multidisciplinary programme in which music, theatre, dance, circus and performance coexist. The festival offers a journey through proposals that explore new stage languages without giving up their connection with audiences, combining tradition, experimentation and a contemporary outlook.

This year’s edition will feature companies and artists such as Marc Fernández, Humancia, Joan Tomàs Martínez, Lluki Portas, Labú, UALA!!, Chicharrón Circo Flamenco, Vivien Frederich and Cia Bragacadavra, as well as shows that move between humour, visual poetry, movement and stage risk. Music will also have a prominent place, with concerts by Renaldo & Clara, Lorena Álvarez, Guillem Roma, Lima Negra and other acts that will provide the soundtrack to summer nights.

More than a festival, Tangent has become established as a collective project connecting artists, territory and citizens. A celebration of the live arts which, over several weeks, invites people to look at the Eixample from another perspective and discover how culture can transform the most everyday spaces.
