But in La Cubana's hands, this lifelong text explodes into a thousand colours: it becomes a “made in Cubana” musical and, as they themselves say, “made the Catalan way”.

Songs, irreverent humour, frenetic rhythm and a constant game with the audience parade across the stage, as the spectators never know when they will go from observer to accomplice. The show celebrates the enthusiasm of those amateur groups that rehearsed in schools, parishes or civic centres, recalling that a large part of the country's theatre emerged from those humble stages.
