The action takes place in a small theatre where La más fuerte is being rehearsed. What begins as a working day soon breaks down into a fierce confrontation between August Strindberg himself and the actresses bringing the production to life. Words, which ought to serve to build a play, become weapons.

Strindberg, beset by debt and personal instability, shares the space with Siri von Essen, his ex-wife and the production’s leading actress, determined to regain the momentum of her career. Alongside her is Marie Carolina David, her fellow cast member and Siri’s lover, whose presence fuels the conflict. Amid recriminations, jealousy and open wounds, a young director tries to hold together what already seems inevitable.

Directed by Oriol Broggi from Joan Yago’s version, the play brings together Cristina Arenas, Joan Marmaneu, Clara Mir and Jordi Llovet in a Catalan-language production in which theatre becomes an unforgiving mirror of human relationships.
