Cinema series «Pantalla Pavelló»

The series explores the relationship between people and the spaces they inhabit, reflecting on how architecture, urban planning and the rules that organise collective life influence the way the city is understood. Each screening thus becomes an invitation to look beyond the story told on the screen and also consider the surroundings around it.

The 2026 edition centres on Barcelona as both setting and protagonist. The programme brings together three very different perspectives on the city:

Los Tarantos, by Francesc Rovira-Beleta, one of the great references of Barcelona cinema — 6 July;

Costa Brava (Family Album), by Marta Balletbò-Coll, which addresses questions of identity, territory and coexistence — 3 August;

Sis dies corrents, by Neus Ballús, a close and human approach to the everyday life of the metropolis — 7 September.

More than a summer series, Pantalla Pavelló is a collective reflection on the cities we build and the ways of life they generate. A meeting point for cinema, architecture and public space in one of the most emblematic places of international modernism.
