Festival ‘Sarrià Jazz & Blues Village’
For a few days, Sarrià Jazz & Blues Village transforms the neighbourhood into a meeting point where rhythm is heard unhurriedly and concerts are experienced at close range. From 13 to 17 May, the festival brings together a programme that combines jazz and blues with a simple idea: to create a space where music and the surroundings share the spotlight.
About this event
Far from the format of a large mass event, the proposal is committed to an intimate experience. The audience can discover artists, stay on after a concert or let the night determine the next move. Names such as Ignasi Terraza alongside Christos Rafalides will take to the stage, as well as groups such as The Heeks, Elvira Blues Reunion and Balta Bordoy and The Bad Boys.
The festival understands jazz and blues as open forms of music: able to invite both those who know every reference and those who arrive simply out of curiosity. Improvisation, energy and conversation come together in a programme that turns listening into a shared experience.
More than a succession of concerts, Sarrià Jazz & Blues Village works as a musical pause within the city: a place to stay a little longer than planned.
