Concert «La Nit del Músic Alt»
La Nit del Músic Alt. A kind of ambiguous genre returns to the Teatre Grec as one of those proposals that are difficult to classify and, precisely for that reason, impossible to forget. Halfway between a concert, satire, delirious lecture and stage tribute, the show plays with the history of the musical in order to dismantle it and rebuild it through humour and imagination.

The work begins with an almost mythological figure: a mysterious artist known as «the tall musician», allegedly responsible for introducing music and dance into the theatre of ancient Greece. From this premise, as unlikely as it is seductive, the production opens a false symposium where expert voices, impossible repertoires and extravagant reflections attempt to answer a question that only appears simple: what exactly is a musical and where are its limits.
The Banda Municipal de Barcelona, conducted by José Rafael Pascual-Vilaplana, becomes the driving force behind this stage experience, which mixes classical references, irony and musical celebration. The ensemble, one of the oldest in Europe, also takes the opportunity to assert its open and experimental spirit as it marks 140 years of history.
More than a revision of the genre, the proposal works as a celebration of the pleasure of mixing disciplines, ideas and sounds without asking permission. A show that constantly moves between the cultured and the absurd, and finds its personality precisely there.
