Vermut Trans Festival
Barcelona will once again be filled with celebration, advocacy and connection with a new edition of Vermut Trans, the solidarity festival which, since 2016, has established itself as one of the most visible and participatory spaces dedicated to the trans and non-binary community. The event will take place on 11 July at Plaça Pes de la Palla, next to Ronda de Sant Antoni, turning public space into a stage open to diversity.
About this event
Throughout the day, music, poetry, dance, live performances and different artistic offerings will share the spotlight in a programme designed to celebrate the plurality of identities and strengthen community ties. The event brings together trans and non-binary people, families, friends, LGTBIQ+ groups and allies in a festive atmosphere that combines culture, coexistence and social commitment.
Beyond its recreational character, Vermut Trans retains an important solidarity dimension. Funds raised during the festival are allocated to projects supporting the trans community, reinforcing an initiative that uses culture as a tool for visibility, support and social transformation.
Over the years, the festival has become an essential date in Barcelona’s calendar, a place where art and citizen participation meet to advocate respect, diversity and every person’s right to live their identity freely. A day to share, celebrate and keep building community.
