Iglesia Arzobispal Castrense

The site of the Military Archbishopric Church was formerly the church of the Convent of Bernardas of the Most Holy Communion. It was built in Baroque style by the Duke of Uceda, a powerful minister of Philip III, who in 1616 moved its first nuns to Madrid from the convent of Santa Ana de Valladolid.
