Chueca: the heart of Pride in Madrid

Chueca is one of Madrid’s most vibrant and eclectic neighbourhoods. It is associated with the LGBTIQ community and is also one of the most fun places thanks to its concentration of cafés, bars, galleries and shops.

This neighbourhood is full of sexual freedom. A few decades ago, the first shops specialising in the LGBTIQ sector opened here. Chueca also retains traditional historical elements in its architecture and museums, which can be seen in the local museums.
