You can visit the halls of royal palaces, discover ancient monasteries, and admire the works of art collected by Spanish monarchs without paying an entrance fee if you choose the right day and time. We tell you when to visit seven of these places in Madrid and its surroundings for free. Free entry during the specified times is available to citizens of the Unión Europea and Ibero-American countries, as well as to residents and holders of a work permit in the Unión Europea. To collect your ticket at the box office, you must present a document proving your right to free entry.
