Horchata is a real relief in hot weather, with traditional roots in the Valencian Community. Legend has it that a girl offered James I of Aragon a fresh, sweet drink. After tasting it, the monarch exclaimed: «Açò no és llet, açò és or, xata!» (This is not milk, this is gold, girl!). However, the name actually comes from the Latin "hordeata". It is the favourite summer drink of Spaniards and tourists.
