6th Carabanchel Half Marathon 2026

On 24 May, a temporary route will be enabled in Carabanchel: neighbourhood streets will close to traffic for the race, whose start and finish will be at Puente de Toledo.

About this event

On 24 May, Carabanchel will run again: the sixth edition of the neighbourhood half marathon will bring participants together on a renewed route, approved by the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation. The start and finish will move for the first time to Puente de Toledo, in the Madrid Río area.

The 21 km route will cross different areas of the district, from Carabanchel Alto and Carabanchel Bajo to the PAU and older streets, where dense urban development gives way to more open sections. The race is integrated into the urban relief and offers a view of the district itself through its streets. This year, the race is also linked to the San Isidro festivities, adding a local context to the event.

The 10 km race has a separate start. Participants begin with the half marathon, but after 7.5 km they turn off towards their own route. The final section runs along Calle General Ricardos, with a fast descent to the finish at Puente de Toledo. The last kilometres are designed for a high pace and are often decisive for personal results.

In 2026, both distances will share the start and finish at Puente de Toledo, a space that for one day will become a meeting point for runners, residents and spectators.
