Spain's World Cup champions celebration

The Spanish national team will return to Madrid this Monday after winning the 2026 World Cup and will celebrate the title with fans in a day that will bring together thousands of people in the heart of the capital. The high point will be the party in Plaza de Cibeles, where the champions will share the trophy with supporters.

The celebration will begin at 18:00 with a special programme in front of Palacio de Cibeles. For several hours, the stage will host musical performances, DJs and entertainment while the players attend official receptions at Palacio de la Zarzuela and La Moncloa.

At 19:00, the national team's parade on an open-top bus will begin. The route will pass through some of Madrid's most emblematic places, from Moncloa along Calle Princesa, Alberto Aguilera, Sagasta, Goya and Serrano to Plaza de Cibeles.

At around 21:00, the most eagerly awaited moment of the day will take place: the world champions will lift the Cup in front of thousands of fans and bring the celebration to a close.

For the event, the City Council will activate an extensive special mobility operation. During the afternoon, traffic will be closed in Cibeles, Paseo de Recoletos, Paseo del Prado, Calle Alcalá, part of Gran Vía and other roads included in the parade route. In addition, Metro will reinforce its service and several EMT lines will temporarily alter their routes, so using public transport to reach the city centre is recommended.
