Spain - Denmark (Qualifying Round - Basketball World Cup 2027)

On 2 July, Spain’s men’s national basketball team will play a match against Denmark in Madrid. The encounter will take place at the Estadio Multiusos at Caja Mágica and will be part of the qualifying round for the FIBA World Cup 2027 in Qatar.

The Spanish team, known as #LaFamilia, goes into the encounter with a place in the next qualifying round already secured. The match against Denmark will be one of the team’s last in the first qualifying round, which will also conclude with an away match against Georgia.

For Spain, this match offers an opportunity to strengthen their hold on first place in the group and claim their fifth victory. In the previous encounter with the Danes, the Spaniards won; that match was played in Copenhagen and marked the debut of the team’s current head coach.

Spain and Denmark have met in five official matches. The last time they faced each other was in Madrid as part of the qualifying round for Eurobasket 2003.
