26th Concurso Internacional de Rosas Nuevas Villa de Madrid
At La Rosaleda in Madrid, you can admire unique roses that are not yet found in any garden in the city. For a few days, varieties grown in Japan, New Zealand, France and Italy can be seen here, while the jury and visitors choose which flower will become the new Rosa de Madrid.

La Rosaleda, in Parque del Oeste, once again becomes an enormous garden where roses from all over the world bloom for the first time under the Madrid sun.
Until 20 May, the public part of the 70th Concurso Internacional de Rosas Nuevas Villa de Madrid is being held here. Eighty-two new varieties from 12 countries will be presented in the garden, and visitors will be able to choose their favourite among tea, shrub, miniature and climbing roses. In exchange for their in-person vote, attendees will receive cut roses.
The international final will take place on 22 May. That day, the jury will choose the year's best new rose, and La Rosaleda will remain closed until 16:00 due to the final evaluation of the varieties.
On 20 May, workshops, family activities and an evening concert by the Arcos school orchestras will also be held at La Rosaleda. In spring, this garden with more than 20,000 rose bushes becomes one of the city's most beautiful places for a walk.
