Escándalo's «Bites y Beats» brunch at Canopy by Hilton

At Escándalo, the restaurant at the Canopy by Hilton hotel, they have launched the daytime Bites y Beats format, a brunch in which food and music unfold simultaneously, without the usual division between «food» and «entertainment».

The space works as a series of culinary stations: cold appetisers, hot dishes, freshly baked pastries and desserts follow one another in no fixed order. Here, it is also possible to create a personalised bowl with different ingredients, and croofles are served alongside — a hybrid of sweet and savoury that has become one of the menu's key elements.

Chef Ignacio Martínez is in charge of the kitchen, organising the service as a series of small gastronomic episodes. Drinks include coffee, juices, smoothies, as well as sparkling wine and vermouth.

The soundtrack is provided by a DJ set that accompanies the whole brunch and gives it a subtle rhythm. The programme also includes a welcome drink on arrival and the opportunity to go up to the rooftop, where cava is served.
