Madrid is ready to rock: the charismatic La Plexy will reopen Pride 2025, firing the starting gun for the brightest, loudest and most anticipated week of the summer.

La Plexy will once again open Orgullo de Madrid: her charismatic and vibrant performance will traditionally mark the official start of Pride week, on 2 July. This year’s celebrations will begin in Plaza de Pedro Zerolo, which will once again be the epicentre of Spain’s main LGBTQ+ event.
An icon of Madrid nightlife and one of the community’s best-known voices, La Plexy will deliver a speech that is everything Pride is valued for: strength, art, diversity and insatiable enthusiasm. With her words, she will begin the «Pregón del Orgullo», a moment the whole city eagerly awaits every year.
The organisers promise that they will soon reveal the name of another speaker who will also take part in the opening ceremony.
