2026 LGTBIQ+ Pride proclamation

On 1 July, Plaza de Pedro Zerolo will be the starting point of MADO Madrid Orgullo 2026: the proclamation that officially opens the Pride programme will take place there.

The opening of the stage this year is once again entrusted to La Plexy, one of the most recognisable figures in the city’s nightlife. Her appearance is usually the first sign that the celebration has begun and brings together thousands of spectators in the square.

La Plexy will open the evening with a speech addressing issues such as diversity, visibility and freedom of expression. Her participation has already become a regular part of the municipal tradition marking the start of Pride.

Organisers have also reported that the list of participants in the 2026 LGTBIQ+ proclamation will be announced later. They will take to the stage in Plaza de Pedro Zerolo to start one of Europe’s most important Pride weeks.
