About this event
Madrid’s carnival parade promises to be a magical journey through art and culture. The city’s streets will fill with street theatre, circus acts, giant puppets and fantastical creatures. Escuela del Centro de Títeres will present giant puppets and stilt-walking masks, adding touches of fantasy.
Folklore and neighbourhood groups will transport us to the carnivals of Bolivia, Ecuador, Chile and other countries, immersing us in rhythms and dances, while the energetic Batucada Bloco do Baliza will create a unique festive atmosphere. The route will run from Puente de Toledo to Explanada Negra, on 1 March at 13:00.
