Popular neo-Mudéjar festival

Madrid has around 150 neo-Mudéjar buildings of great historical value that are being protected. The festival will be held in Tetuán, which will once again draw attention to this fascinating style and the importance of preserving it.

The neighbourhood’s residents have special respect for their history and heritage. For example, the Patrimonio de Tetuán platform has created maps of buildings in this style and organised guided tours of them.

Now, this platform, together with Espacio Bellas Vistas, is organising an event called “Fiesta Popular de Neomudéjar”, whose aim is to protect Tetuán’s identity and heritage.

The programme will include free guided walks focusing on the buildings and history of working-class Madrid. In addition, many surprises await us and will be announced later.
