Planeta de Libros Reading Festival
While some run for trains, others for the pages of books: Madrid will host an unusual literary event where the leading role belongs not to authors but to readers, all beneath the vaults of a former railway station.
About this event
The former Delicias railway station, transformed into an atmospheric Museo del Ferrocarril, will become a genuine oasis for books for one day. On Sunday 18 May, the first Planeta de Libros reading festival will be held here, an intimate literary event in historic interiors.
Admission is free, but prior registration is required; the main thing is not to forget to bring your favourite book. First, an hour of unhurried reading in silence, followed by presentations, discussions and pleasant surprises among the carriages and rails that preserve the spirit of travel and time.
