“El Claustro del Pozo” cultural series

In the heart of La Latina, away from the bustle and almost hidden among centuries-old classrooms, a 17th-century cloister becomes a vibrant, lively stage for a few weeks. The Claustro del Pozo, part of the Instituto San Isidro, Madrid's oldest educational institution, offers a unique artistic programme this summer that combines history, intimacy and emotion.

Until 17 August, this monumental space hosts evening performances of music, theatre and dance as part of the Veranos de la Villa festival. Beneath the dim light of the streetlamps and the echo of the stones, artists such as Pedro Mafama, Olga María Ramos, Álvaro Sola, Soledad Mallol, Sara Calero and Bikôkô come together in an atmosphere found nowhere else in the city.

The performances begin at 21:30 and tickets, at 15 €, include discounts for young people, older people, unemployed people and people with disabilities. A special opportunity for those seeking to experience culture in a setting that is as surprising for its beauty as for its silence, just before the first note sounds.
