Star Wars parade

Star Wars remains a legend to this day. It is no surprise that charities return to the theme time and again. The Lucasfilm organisation has organised a Star Wars charity parade that will fill the central area with more than 500 Imperial soldiers. Fans of the universe will parade through the capital’s main streets dressed in Imperial Army costumes to raise funds for the Spanish Association Against Cancer.

The charity event is being held for the fourteenth time and will begin at the La Cebada Municipal Sports Centre. The 501st Legion organises fundraising events to donate to organisations that fight childhood illnesses, as well as raising public awareness of social problems such as bullying at school or poverty. «The 501st Legion» is also Lucasfilm’s favourite costume group, of which the creator of the Star Wars franchise himself is an honorary member.
