Ponle Freno Race

On 17 November, Madrid will host the Ponle Freno Race for the sixteenth time, created to raise awareness of the importance of road safety. All funds raised will go to a project supporting ten victims of road traffic accidents.

Participants will be able to choose between two routes: one of 10 and the other of 5 kilometres. All will start from Plaza de Colón. As a central point, the 10-kilometre race route will pass through Puerta del Sol, a symbolic point on Spanish roads as kilometre 0, the starting point from which the distance of Spain's radial roads begins to be counted, as well as Plaza del Ponle del Sol.

In addition, this year Ponle Freno is also joining forces with the Spanish Paralympic Committee, which will support the promotion of the race as an organisation that promotes the values of sport among people with disabilities and who find in it a tool for self-improvement.
