The countdown to Madrid’s most iconic Carnival party, the legendary Baile de Máscaras del Círculo de Bellas Artes, has already begun. Carnival always opens the door to a world of magic and daring reincarnations, but this year it is expanded even further by the influence of surrealism. Inspired by the visions of Buñuel, Leonora Carrington, Breton, Remedios Varo, Max Ernst and David Lynch, we travel to a space where the impossible becomes possible and the ordinary becomes art. Here fantasy becomes a tool that can change not only perception, but reality itself.
