Paellarte: Paella fair in Madrid

Paellarte is a gastronomic fair that brings together rice masters in a space mostly devoted to preparing and tasting rice dishes and paellas.

It is the first national travelling fair of its kind, and its first edition will be held over an entire weekend, on 5, 6 and 7 April of this year, at Centro Multiusos de las Rozas, Madrid. This first edition will bring together 10 restaurants from the Spanish capital and the north-west of the region, so the offerings presented will show the distinctive characteristics and style of the chefs in preparing these dishes.

The event will have free admission for the public, and visitors will not only be able to try the various rice dishes presented, for a price of 7 euros, but also accompany the food with drinks, tapas and desserts, the latter two costing 5 euros each, offered by each restaurant.

Parallel activities will include raffles and special promotions, olive oil and wine tastings, a Valencian barraca, magic shows and face painting, and even a boxing ring and live-music performances. The most important activity will, of course, be the rice competition, which will have a professional jury and prizes.
