ReMAD Second-hand Market

On 20 September, a visit to the Paseo del Prado could end with a new bicycle or scooter for you, without spending a penny. In front of the Museo del Prado, the municipal service ReMAD will be offering second-hand items for mobility and active leisure that are looking for new owners.

There will be a total of 160 items: bicycles for adults and children, balance bikes, skateboards, inline skates, two- and three-wheeled scooters, helmets, and ride-on toys. Some visitors might take home their first bicycle, while others may find an excuse to put their skates back on.

The initiative is part of the Semana Europea de la Movilidad, with Sunday’s programme taking place between Atocha y Cibeles. Through free exchange, ReMAD helps extend the useful life of objects that some people no longer need, but which can still be useful to others.
