Mineral Market at the School of Mines

On the first Sunday of every month, the Higher School of Mining Engineers in Madrid opens its doors to all lovers of nature and collecting. Inside Ricardo Velázquez Bosco’s historic building, visitors will find a mineral market with rare stones, fossils and precious jewellery sold by specialists.

Workshops and guided visits to the Marcelo Jorissen experimental mine, where an authentic coal mine has been recreated, have been prepared for children and families. Here you can not only expand your collection or find an original gift, but also enjoy learning about geology and palaeontology.
