Libros Mutantes Fair

From 24 to 26 April, Libros Mutantes 2026 will be held at La Casa Encendida. It is a fair for independent publishing projects where books coexist with graphic art, design and experimental formats. This year, the event becomes the largest in the festival’s entire history.

More than 125 projects from different countries will arrive in Madrid. Among them are publishers, designers and artists who work with printed publications and visual practices. Some of the participants are appearing for the first time, including countries outside the usual European circle.

The programme goes beyond the exhibition. Over three days, meetings, workshops and open formats will be held in which typography, ways of making books and working with images will be discussed. Some sessions are conceived as practical exercises, in which ideas are tested directly on site.

Music plays in the inner courtyard throughout the day. DJ sets accompany the development of the fair. At night, part of the events moves to Sala Villanos, where a concert programme featuring several artists takes place.
