5th Arganzuela Book Fair 2026

From 23 to 26 April 2026, Paseo de la Chopera and the Madrid Río promenade in Madrid will become the setting for the 5th Arganzuela neighbourhood Book Fair. For several days, the urban landscape will be filled with books, stages and live meetings with authors.

The opening of the fair will be marked by a collective reading of “Don Quixote”. People from different generations will take turns reading the text aloud, turning the classic work into a collective action.

For four days there will be book presentations, shows, poetry evenings and family programmes. Among them, the play “Inventando un cuento”, by the company Abrazo Teatro, stands out, in which spectators become part of the plot’s development.

Thursday 23 April From 10:30 to 12:00. Intergenerational reading of “Don Quixote”.

Friday 24 April 19:00. Presentation of the book “El tren sin estaciones”, by Antonio Pastor Gaitero. Organised by HUERGA & FIERRO EDITORES.

Saturday 25 April 12:00. Children’s show “Inventando un cuento”, by the company Abrazo Teatro. For children aged 4 and over and family audiences. 18:00. Presentation of the book “El aquelarre de Sálvora”, by Silvia de Pablos. Editorial BUBOK. 19:00. Poetry and music evening “Barrio poético”. HUERGA & FIERRO EDITORES.

Sunday 26 April 12:00. Concert “Orquesta en red”. A project by the Municipal School of Music “Federico Chueca”, bringing together students from 13 music and dance schools in Madrid. 12:00–14:00. Águeda Book Corner. Presentation of “La voz del viento”, by José Gil Romero and Goretti Irisarri. 13:30. Presentation of “Nacer mejor”, by Sheila Pérez. Editorial BUBOK. 17:00. Story time “Cuentos con mucha historia”, by Bárbara Fernández. Editorial BRUÑO.
