Exhibition ‘Looking Again’

The underground reservoir at Plaza de Castilla opens as an exhibition space. Here, from 21 April to 25 October, the project by artist Rosa Muñoz is held, on the occasion of the 175th anniversary of Canal de Isabel II and the 25th anniversary of Fundación Canal.

Inside the structure, the space is reconfigured through video art. Rosa Muñoz breaks down the architecture into visual elements and reassembles it into a moving composition, related to the image of water and the building's engineering structure. The work is presented on four large LED screens that form the central volume of the installation.

The project draws on the history of the region's hydraulic system and shows it through the perception of space and light. Architecture becomes material, and water becomes the hidden basis of the visual action.
