Windows onto the future

Until 28 July, the Espacio Fundación Telefónica hosts the exhibition «Ventanas al futuro». It invites you to explore which future scenarios are possible, despite the already stereotyped options of science fiction. Six large-format audiovisual installations will help in this endeavour.

«Ventanas al futuro» forms part of a trilogy that explores the future, begun with two earlier exhibitions, «La gran imaginación. Historias del futuro» and «Liam Young. Construyendo mundos». All the exhibitions project fictional scenarios and alternative worlds using modern technology.

Each of the six windows becomes a space in which different realities, new future hypotheses and a dialogue between reality and the future are projected. The exhibition installations were created by Paul Trillo, Gmunk, Inferstudio, Boldtron, Lifeforms and Fuse. The creators shaped the images using artificial intelligence to create audiovisual compositions. The stories act as capsules of the future, challenging current perceptions. They offer alternative narratives that may change tomorrow in ways we do not expect.
