The first major retrospective in Europe of Lebanese artist Hewett Kalan brings together around 200 of her works, including some previously unseen pieces. Kalan has always challenged the aesthetic, social and sexual norms of her time. The exhibition «A Life in Few Lines» at the Museo Reina Sofía covers key stages in her life and work, from Beirut to Paris and Los Angeles, revealing the multifaceted world of her art, where feminism, cosmopolitanism and provocative sensuality intersect.
