Exhibition «To Be Or Not To Be, That’s The Answer»

The exhibition by artist José Ángel Uberuaga (Ube) addresses an important issue in our world. It creates a tone of judgement and denunciation that debates discrimination based on sexual orientation, identity and gender singularity, from a male perspective.

You will see make-up and high heels, naked men and their covered souls trying to hide from a hostile world. The images show unspoken secrets and cultural references, sad looks and the authorities who decide what rights are and what they are not. And those who remain silent consent, committing the offence of inaction.

The provocative images seek to awaken awareness of reality. After all, it is men who suffer it, still forced to wear an invisible mask that conceals their sexual identity.
