Until 20 July, the Sala Bóvedas del Centro Cultural Conde Duque hosts an exhibition by Jonatas de Andrade, a Brazilian artist who turns collective gesture into an artistic act.
The works arise from bodily practices in which participants, human and animal, interact through gaze, touch and tension. They are not just scenes, but fragments of a possible future in which contact becomes a way of understanding and transcending differences.
Jonathas de Andrade works at the intersection of documentary and allegory. His language is the voice of communities whose stories do not fit into textbooks, but resound in the present, redefining race, class and roles.
