«The Third Reich» Performative Video Installation

Romeo Castelluci’s installation will open this year’s LEV festival. The performative video installation by this provocative author will be the quintessence of the festival of electronic and augmented visual realities. With the help of a dancer, the author will present us with a violence that conceals language and that will cause the viewer to lose control.

The dancer’s body leaves the stage and only her spine remains on the floor. It is a kind of metaphor for the lexical skeleton on which language rests. Spoken words turn their virtual innocence into a home. The turbulent sequence of words passes through our body and takes us to sensations, but not to the mind. The installation shows that we must learn to control what is said and how it is said.
