Ancient Egypt comes alive in Madrid. In February, one of the largest exhibitions dedicated to this mysterious civilisation opens.

The Centro de Arte Tomás y Valiente (CEART) in Fuenlabrada will open in February one of the largest exhibitions on Egypt in Spain, «Tesoros de Egipto».
Visitors will be able to view more than 140 reproductions of objects, such as the statues of Kefrén and Ramsés II, Tutankamón’s sarcophagus and mask, as well as reconstructions of temple pylons, tombs and avenues of sphinxes. Interactive areas will allow children to write their names in hieroglyphics and adults to delve deeper into the history of an ancient civilisation.
The Tesoros de Egipto exhibition is organised by the Ayuntamiento de Fuenlabrada in collaboration with the Fundación Sofía and will open on 14 February.
