In the exhibition Tarek Atoui. At-Tāriq, Lebanese artist and composer Tarek Atoui brings the atmosphere of a traditional Majlis, a place of hospitality in Arab homes, to the walls of Museo Nacional Thyssen-Bornemisza. His exhibition At-Tāriq, inspired by Berber musical traditions and sub-Saharan pilgrimage routes, transforms the space into a sound installation where music becomes an act of hospitality. Visitors will experience the boundary between past and present, tradition and experimentation, in a unique poetic journey through sound.
