“So Many Worlds in This One” exhibition

In honour of the museum's 150th anniversary and as part of the “Critical Views” programme, the National Museum of Anthropology invites visitors to immerse themselves in visual poetry, which makes us see in a different way how human actions shape the fate of the planet's ecosystems. Marina Núñez's exhibition is a project that combines artistic expressiveness with urgent ethical questions about our influence on the world around us.

The exhibition's main object is the floor of the inner courtyard, covered with almost 300 tiles measuring 60 cm each. Together, they form a grand visual “map” of the Earth, where each tile tells its own story and reflects the richness of natural forms. The work combines delicate craftsmanship with modern technologies such as 3D simulation and generative artificial intelligence, creating a unique world in which nature's past, present and possible future intertwine in a unique artistic experience.
