“Suggestions of Italy. From Neorealism to the 21st Century. The View of 13 Photographers” exhibition

As part of PhotoEspaña 2025, the Italian Cultural Institute of Madrid presents the exhibition “Suggestions of Italy. From Neorealism to the 21st Century”, organised by the Turin Museums Foundation with the support of the Italian Ministry of Culture and the CRT Foundation. Until 13 September, visitors can embark on a fascinating journey through photography from the pre-digital era, immersing themselves in Italy's atmosphere through the lenses of outstanding masters.

Curator Riccardo Passoni has brought together a unique collection of works by Nino Migliori, Gianni Berengo Gardina, Mario Giacomelli and other legends whose images reflect changes in Italy's landscape, cities, social strata and architecture from the post-war period to the beginning of the 21st century. These photographs are more than images: they are a fresh look at the country, free of clichés and familiar postcard images, where traditional “postcard” subjects are replaced by honest, profound visual stories.
