Holy Week exhibition in Plaza Mayor
Nineteen brotherhoods, five centuries of devotion and the unique atmosphere of religious processions are revealed through archival material, historic carvings and iconic images in this exhibition.

Until 20 April, Plaza Mayor is transformed into an open-air museum dedicated to Madrid's Holy Week.
The exhibition, presented in the capital for the first time, brings together 19 brotherhoods and tells the story of five centuries of their devotion and traditions. Twenty information panels will guide visitors through religious Madrid, from Puente Vallecas to Las Letras, revealing the history of famous processions and venerated images, such as Jesús Nazareno de Medinaceli, or the city's oldest brotherhood, founded 420 years ago.
This is a unique opportunity to encounter the spiritual and cultural heritage that has shaped the soul of Madrid's Holy Week for centuries.
