Exhibition ‘Secundino Hernández en obras’
Secundino Hernández returns to his native Madrid with his first major exhibition, in which visitors can see how the artist reinterprets tradition and experiments with form, colour and texture.

Sala Alcalá 31 is opening Secundino Hernández's first institutional exhibition in Madrid, which summarises his almost 30-year career. From 19 February to 20 April, some 70 works can be seen here, from his first pieces from 1996 to a large-scale polyptych 9 metres high created in 2025.
Hernández combines Spanish masters with the 20th-century avant-garde in his art and experiments with techniques such as using high-pressure washes to create unusual textures. The exhibition is organised into four thematic sections, which reveal his perspective on drawing, colour, space and form.
