Exhibition «Rafael Canogar. [I] Realities»
CentroCentro will host an updated exhibition of Rafael Canogar, dedicated to his best-known work. The exhibition includes around 60 works, including paintings, collages and sculptural reliefs, spanning the period from 1949 to 2024.

The exhibition presents the artist at a key stage in his career, when his passion for painting becomes a powerful response to creative challenges. Kanogar maintains sophistication and restraint in his art, underlining the importance of the inner struggle involved in the process of creation.
The works come from the artist’s personal collection and from museums such as Centro Nacional de Arte Reina Sofía. The curator, Alfonso de la Torre, has organised the exhibition into five parts covering the main stages of Canogar’s work, from the first abstractions of 1949 to later works inspired by Paul Klee and Joan Miró.
This exhibition offers a unique view of the world of one of the most important Spanish artists of the 20th century.
