Landscape of Light

The Landscape of Light, located in the heart of Madrid, is a culturally rich area encompassing Paseo del Prado and Retiro Park. This area stands out for its unique combination of natural beauty, art and history, and has been home to emblematic museums, historic gardens and numerous scientific and artistic institutions since the 16th century. Recognised by UNESCO for its exceptional contribution to culture and science, the Landscape of Light serves as a living testament to Spanish history and a centre of intellectual exchange that has influenced the world.

The Landscape of Light Interpretation Centre offers a comprehensive view of this UNESCO World Heritage site through panels, videos and tablets that explore its history, art, nature and science. Featuring a scale model with videomapping that illustrates its historical evolution, the centre also holds rotating exhibitions of pieces from local entities every six months, enriching understanding of its universal value. In addition, it provides brochures and maps in several languages to assist visitors.
